I'm asking $sold$ for this knife & a handmade leather sheath shipped (CONUS & Canada) with the blade belt finished and the ricasso with the fire scale. If the buyer wants the blade & ricasso handsanded for a satin finish then add $10. Payment can be made by PayPal or money order.

For a sample of my work check my album:

Thanks for looking!

Do you have a close up of the cocobolo and oak dymond wood? What's the thickness?

Josh,
The oak dymond wood (1/4" thick) is on the left and the cocobolo (1/4" thick) is on the right. The cocobolo will be about 3/16" once its finished, but if you want some thicker I can cut another set of scales.

man.. that came out great Bruce.... i'm looking forward to seeing more of your work on here...

i have just received a knife(Ironwood handles) and sheath from Bruce.
although "blown away" is often over-used, i truly am. EVERYTHING about the knife and sheath(which is v. substantial and a perfect fit) is right-on, 'perfect', amazing (and hair poppin' sharp). both are as good as any of my about 30 Customs in the $300-$500 range, and actually better than most. and this is only the 8th knife Bruce has sold ! unreal talent, high standards and a dedication to "perfection" ! had i paid $350 for this knife, i would still be v. pleased.
Bruce: triple your prices.
Everyone else: get a knife from Bruce before he does.

Masteroffajitas,
I do not have any bamboo in my handle inventory. I know I guy with a cabinet shop and he uses bamboo once in awhile. I'll contact him to see if the stuff he uses would be suitable for use on a knife. I'll get back to you in a few days.

Roland,
Thanks for the great review! I'm glad you like the knife!

hey everyone, posted a reply before the weekend but did not show?

This knife and sheath needs to be seen and held to really appreciate. Really nice ergonomics, this is a perfect slicer/boning knife for everything but chopping. The whole package weighs 8.2oz/knife 4.3oz, I don't even feel it on the belt. Really good whittler and tapers nice and thin at the tip.

The sheath is bombproof, 2 layers on the back, heavy welt and one layer on top, the sheath is .5in thick with nice tooling.

The matching firesteel is great, long enough to really rip sparks out, he is using good quality....no playing in the house... the sparks fly 3 to 4 feet and are still burning when they hit the ground!! The lanyard is elastic and snaps over the steel's end and cannot come free, simple and effective, I am going to rip off his idea for my brkt northstar sheath and firesteel!

Went to the 9.75 acres I just signed papers for on friday right across the street from bridge lake in the caribou. Wanted to field test on some fish but all I caught was 3 lake trout, one around 12 to 15lb... have to let them go but hoping for some kokanee or rainbow next week, gotta stop fishing so deep in the spring. I already know how it will perform however.

Very impressed and will be purchasing from Bruce again

Thanks for posting a report Brad. I'm glad you dig the blade! I can't take credit for the firesteel with the elastic lanyard design - I saw another maker on here do it and I cannot remember who - Stomper or WalterDavis maybe?

Good luck with the fishing!
