I was reading a thread about the Fallkniven U2 over on the general discussion forum and it reminded me of this little modification I did awhile back.
I thought some of you might be interested in reading about how I put a pocket clip on my U2.
I borrowed the pocket clip and mounting hardware from one of my Kabar Dozier folders (model KA-4062). Then I reamed out the lanyard hole just a little bit on the (soon-to-be) non-clip side of the U2 so that the clip screw would be slightly countersunk. You actually could mount the clip on either side of the U2. I used a dremel for the reaming. Make sure the knife is securely held in place prior to reaming, and do a little at a time and check the fit of the clip screw seating as you go. The clip-side hole on the U2 doesn't really need reaming, but the pin that receives the screw is a snug fit. When you seat the clip pin into the hole, it helps to line it up straight and tap it gently using a wooden dowel rod like a drift pin with a tack hammer. I haven't had any problem with the clip moving once the screw is tight, but you could put a drop of locktite on the clip pin if you chose to. It takes a T-10 torx bit to remove and install the screw. If you feel the clip needs to grip tighter, you can adjust it by slightly bending the clip itself.
Of course you do have to be willing to take the clip from a Kabar Dozier folder, or maybe you could order just the clip and screw from Kabar. I have not checked on that.
Here's how it looks installed.
