The man with the hard to remember username is good. Got my G-10 Navigator (2nd supposedly, couldn't find anything wrong with it). Never held one of these (it's the GIN-1 version) - there seems to be a chip on the back near the hole in the blade... is this normal?

Very strong lock, and can't see or feel the "up and down play".... very solid.

Good deal from a good guy.

P.S. His name is Jeff Smith (as if that helps at all - how many Jeff Smiths do you know? ).

The notch in the blade is put there by Spyderco to mark it as a second.

Yeah, the only issue with the blade is that the bloody lockback is way strong (not an issue really, but wow). Anyway... lubed it up a tad with some silicon stuff after cleaning with a light dose of WD-40 on a cloth... silky smooth .

One of the few folder's I wouldn't be hesistant to do a spinewhack on.
