Here is a 21 inch, 5/16 thick, 1.75 pound Chiruwa Sirupati made and marked by Murali and it along with the entire rig is top notch. Murali got a couple of excellence bonuses and is turning it on. He now understands he can earn more at BirGorkha producing a reasonable amount of high quality khukuris than he can turning out tons of second class stuff. Fit and finish are near perfect. Hardness is up there around 59 - 60 Rc. The knife looks great and feels great in the hand.

The karda and chakma are in a class unto themselves. Tell me how many chiruwa karda and chakmas you've seen! This karda is near razor sharp like its big brother and is hardened up to about 59 or 60 Rc, too. And, the chakma is not there for decoration but to do some work. A great set.

Scabbard is excellently done and tooled by the sarki with no name and the frog is the 100 year HI superfrog.

This is Uncle Bill's deal of the day and I am going to discount this great rig to $95 because there is a tiny flaw I found. Whoever gets it let's see if they can find the flaw, too. It is that minimal.

Call or email if interested and congratulations in advance to whoever gets this one. It is an Uncle Bill best buy.

Very nice, Uncle Bill. Everyones lucky that I'm waiting for a Tarwar or it would be gone.

Nice! :)

- says the guy who already has an bought or ordered more khukuris this year than he has any rational purpose for owning all at once, and is therefore letting this one go. :D

BTW, is that one of those "integral habaki" bolsters I see there?

AWWWW.

That's a pretty knife. I would have bought that one. If you change your mind Terry (hint, hint), then I'll take it

.

I like the wood too. It looks very right with that knife.

Wow. That's just like the one you had a month or two ago that you were selling for $125. Same engraved bolster too. I would have bought this one in a second but I was eating dinner with the family. The wife frowns if I get up in the middle of the meal to hit the "Reload" button. At least neighbor Terry got it. That's a couple now that he's gotten that I want to check out. Good job!

Guess what! I found a twin (2 ounces heavier) to the above that does not have the flaw. This perfect version goes for $125 delivered to your door.

It ain't over 'till it's over.

Rusty, that wood is what the kamis call "hill walnut" and it is gorgeous. I told the kamis I thought it was pine and they got quite disgusted with me and said I might have a high degree and know how to operate a computer and how to sell a few knives but I knew nothing about wood. They were right again!

Call or email if interested in the perfect version with hill walnut handle.

Hi All,
It looks like my assessment of his potential when I tested his WW2 offering was well founded.

Is the perfect one still available?

If so, its gone now. Please let me know uncle Bill. That's a very pretty knife.

Any plans for the Kamis to use more Hill walnut? I think it is very becoming on the sirupatis.

Dave

From those pix, I wouldn't say the wood looks at all like pine. Of course, the pix don't make it look a whole lot like American or European walnut, either. It is very pretty and goes nicely with that knife. Murali is coming along very well.
