Would one of you kind gentlemen or ladies measure the circumference of the UBE Handle. Looks kind of big around. Just wondering how it would fit my hand.
 
Mine tapes out at 4-11/16" at the widest part (near the bolster) and 4-1/8" at the narrowest.

This particular handle is the most comfortable one I own, but I have large hands.
 
Here's a pic for comparison, if the server doesn't outsmart me again. The one on the left is a 19" villager, on the right is obviously a hanuman.
 
I went arouind measuring several of my Khukuris that felt most comfortable to my hand. Guess I have smaller hands than I thought.

Most comfortable is 3-5/8 to 3 - 7/8. circumference.

UBE looks like wood handle from picture. Guess I could gradually sand off to the proper circumference, but that's alot of sanding, without ruining a nice knife. Don't know how that would affect the balance.
 
The large handles make the UBE and Hanuman seem lighter than they are, giving them more of a Bowie-like feel. What seems to work best for me in a handle is a wasp-waisted profile. I think the profile is most important from a comfort standpoint.

This is NOT to say that size does not count. :footinmou :D
