UBR Commander Interest

Not a bad idea--I really do love my 15...

I've found it to be an incredibly practical, utilitarian type blade shape/ design

Exactly! Tanto tip for piercing, nice sharp point... Recurve... I got serrations, it covers everything! And a large enough blade to give you enough of each!

For a knife larger than a four-inch folder I prefer a fixed blade; my Super Commander is enough for me.

I was thinking a persian blade with an a 100 handle but I think some people would rather see a more traditional tanto blade for the kwaiken

Newbie here, I have a couple of Emerson's but the knife that has my interest the most is an Emerson Commander Karambit. Small enough to EDC everywhere and as somebody with small hands, this knife feels at home.

Tek- For the kwaiken, I'd like to see a Japanese shobu style blade in a CQC7 handle.

Good BF first post!
I'm considering a Karambit myself. Is yours the 2.6" blade? Looks to be cumbersome for everyday cutting and slicing uses so I'm wondering how much pocket time it would get.

I'd be interested in this and the other 4"+ models if you increased the thickness of the blade and liners proportionately. Possibly .160" for the blade and .100" for both liners.

I am UBR interested! I do agree with CM's input, the bigger blade does require some proportion adjustments.

Agreed. That's my biggest concern. Anything over 3.9" as a utility hard use folder seems like it would need to be a little thicker.
