A. Silva walks around at about 220, which is about what the majority of the LHW devision walks at so he fits right in at 205. Griffin is not in that majority however. he has to cut a considerably more amount of weight to make 205. he walks around at about 235ish. Forrest will be by far the strongest opponent for A. silva but i dont know if that will be enough. One thing he does have going for him though is the fact that he has been known to pull off a few upsets ( Shogun, Rampage), and no one has more heart than forrest. ill be pulling for forrest in this one!

its not all about how it looks on paper...i'm still saying k-flo(terrible nickname by the way. if he wins, i hope he buys a new one :) ) and silva. griffin can take a beating, but i see him losing by submission.
 
Even after tonight, the best challenge Silva ever had was Franklin-- twice.

Griffin is tough, but I think it takes more than heart to beat a methodical animal like Silva. The only people I see taking out The Spider are Machida (sp) and GSP.

Lyoto The Dragon Machida would womp Silva I think.

Friggin' Silva. That guy is a freak of nature.

The brief clip I saw on ESPN, however, didn't necessarily impress me. Griffin looked too stiff, or fearful.

Who knows what a pure boxer like Patrick Cote would have done, had he not hurt his knee. Or Dan Henderson, had he landed one more good shot.

Can't say anything bad about Silva. He's fought all challengers, and beat em all.
 
I hate to say it, but either that Silva vs. Griffin fight was rigged (which I don't think it was), or that was possibly the most dominant display I have ever seen in MMA.:eek:

I don't think it was rigged either. Silva is a phenomenal fighter hands down.
 
Ya, Silva is a freak. He is one of the greatest with the likes of Fedor and Hughes. However, I believe Dana is setting up easy matchups for Silva in the 205 division. I'd like to see how Evans, Jackson, or Machida fair against him. I believe those three are the elite of the division and will create a greater challenge for Silva. He lost three or four times in Pride....yet that was earlier in his career. Either way, Silva is a stud.
