Driving myself crazy here. A couple weeks ago I ordered a couple of pouches to organize otherwise lose gear.

One pouch has camping items and the other has charge cords etc for work. As I organized both pouches, I pulled my SAK Camper to put it into my camping bag. After some thought, I pulled Camper and replaced it with a larger multitool.

That my friends is the last time I remember seeing it. I've looked high and low for this sucker for the last two days and it's like the damn thing just disappeared. It wasn't my favorite knife or the most expensive but damn I'm aggravated that i can't find it.

Anybody ever misplace a knife and did it ever turn back up? Did you too drive yourself nuts looking for It?

I lost one overboard. On the plus side at least I know where it is as it was below a cliff we used to jump off back in the day. It swims with the fish now.

And my Leatherman, I lost it years ago but I know it's going to turn up one day. Tore up my garage looking for it as I'd usually keep it in the top drawer in my toolbox. I haven't thought about it in a few years now. Thanks for getting it back on my mind, now where did I put it... Hmmm...

Lost my customized Benchmade Mini Grip in a Chuck E. Cheese, of all places! It never turned up again...at least not in my hands. I imagine some kid stumbled upon it later, which may or may not have ended well. Lol!

Lost quite few here and there along the way over the last 50+ years I've carried a pocket knife. The last one was 3-4 years ago. A sweet little A G Russel lock back. Hope whom ever found it appreciates it. I still have 2 knives that I have owned for over 45 years. One is a Case Boy Scout knife that I still carry when I go into the woods and most times out on the boat.

I hardly ever lose anything. Except knives. I've only lost four or five (and I think a few of them may have walked away) but the one that bothers me most was a little Buck Solitaire my wife gave me several Christmases ago. I am slowly building a small army of budget folders so I now feel less guilt when I misplace one of those.

I still try to think of places I haven't looked to try and find that little Christmas Buck. I later replaced it with a remarkably similar looking Solitaire that I eventually lost to the TSA in front of my wife.

I really hate it when I misplace a knife for days. It isn't as bad as car keys, but almost.

They almost always turn up by the way. I would suggest you pick up another Camper just to have available. One of the usual places things like SAKs turn up is in the laundry. So, you might want to check you pants that may be in line for the washing machine.

I keep a spare of the knives that I feel are important to me; A SAK is the only one actually. I have many knives, but I misplace SAKs.

I’ve been pretty lucky with not losing knives. My knife karma must be good. On another note, I do seem to lose large chunks of money from my bank account from time to time...knives tend to show up shortly thereafter...

I "misplaced" my Spyderco Polices model one about 15 years ago. I am still looking for it.

Man, I checked the laundry, any shorts I wore, checked the tool box, checked my wife, checked under furniture and even checked the Bahamas and they said she was gone... (Bob Seger plug).

Anyway, I'll be damned if the Camper didn't almost just appear today in my bag with all my chargers. I've checked this pouch several times and it must have been at the bottom of an inside compartment along the seams.

Now I'm even more perplexed that I had, lost it, checked the same spot several times looking for it, didn't see it and suddenly it appears..... It's hell to get old I guess.

Just an added note, but a co-worker lost a little Case Trapper. We closed the office down last year and as we were cleaning it out and emptying the racks, we pulled a pallet down and the Case, dusty as hell, was sitting on top of one of the boxes.

It had been missing for a couple of years but he was damn happy to get it back.

I kicked my Griptilian off my pier when fishing one year. We swim off that pier too, so I had to get that knife out of the water before someone stepped on it. I tried tying a speaker magnet to paracord and dragging around the pier. No knife ever came up. That's been about 15 years ago, so I'm sure it's rusted away or covered up with silt.

Missing a Spyderco Endura as we speak. Been looking all over for that thing. It's the pits and is the first knife that set me on my journey so it's got sentimental value and is beat up no less.

Buy the same knife and the lost one will miraculously appear!Has to be the same knife though.:)--KV

Yes. I lost the SAK camper in the photo during a hotel stay and it is still a bummer. I just have not been able to replace it.

I've only ever once lost a knife ... got done deer hunting one day and got home realised it wasn't in the sheath.

I sat and replayed the day in my mind and thought of three places I may have lost it ... so in the dark with headlamp and flashlight I went back out ...

first stop bout 45 minutes of looking and maybe a swear word or two slipping out ... no luck ...

back in my truck to the second possibility ... walking down the hill to where I cross the fence and from half way down the hill my flashlight hit a nice shiny blade ... quietly said thank you and got it home and the next day ordered a custom sheath for it.

Hopefully yours will turn up.

I lost a BM 943, searched high and low, couldn't find it. Bought a 940-1 to replace it, lost it in a month. both were EDC's, but I just use them mostly for one time use things, never leaving it sitting some where for repitive tasks. Started thinking, I used to play Golden tee at a bar few times after work, and I'm wondering if by standing (leaning over the game to play), that I wasn't being pick-pocketed...
Now I have another 940-2, don't play golden tee in the bars, and haven't lost this one in a year...

Once I was flying without checking baggage, so naturally the Spyderco SPOT (black micarta, plain edge) I had strapped to my backpack had to stay at home. When I returned, I couldn't find it in my mess of an apartment. That was 11 years ago. Didn't find it when I packed up to move. Have moved a few more times since then. I still have hope of finding it tucked away in a magazine or old AD&D book or something, because it has to be somewhere. I miss that little SPOT, but I don't feel like spending $200+ to replace it. I've had a SWICK strapped to my backpack since then, but I'd rather have that SPOT.

I also lost a Moki Fish Owl a few months back. Pretty sure it fell out of my pocket (possibly while riding my bike). That one I did replace.

I just spent 30 minutes looks for a survive 5.1 and 5 and a Becker bk 20. I thought the boy threw them out with the trash!!! All is well' I found them.

I lost a CRK inkosi for a week it was the saddest week of my life but I found it on top of my fridge a week later not sure how it got there
