Beauty is in the eye of the- Kill it with Fire! Yeah, hard to compete with that level of ugly.

The ugliest knife as I have is the Boker Cop Tool, which given the function still isn't too horrid. They even dolled it up with some paracord and a bead, so it could be shown in public...

When i was a teenager my friends and I made some choppers and throwing knives out of leaf springs that make the OPs knife look like a beauty in comparison.

That is NOT an ugly knife, it is actually very good looking, ESPECIALLY being your first knife??? I love me a Bowie blade, the Only thing I could say is the handle looks a bit long, other than that, 👍👍 💯
 
I nominate the Cold Steel GRIK... Ugly as sin but there ain't a lot you can't do with it. Very capable little knife, light too, as I took off the integral Zytel pocket clips. I like the round hole opening too. Opens with solid authority and can peirce, cut, saw, grab the blade, has that little divot for your preferred finger cause of the many grip choices. But BOY am I not worried about messing it up.

Literally accidentally brought my fancy Maple Cruwear PM2 to work, realized I didn't want to scratch it with cardboard so I pulled out a different Cruwear PM2, ha. Dirty but not ugly.

Also a coworker asked me what I was looking for with my big purple Maglite in my bag, was like "With this flashlight? I'm looking for a different flashlight!" Lol was looking for my smaller black one. Point is... Keep this on you if you want an indestructable cheap Trip AD

Hey! I have one of those!! Based off a WC design, if I recall. It’s pretty feckin ugly, but useful, as you suggested.
 
The ops knife reminds me of the one in a movie where the assassin guy has to make his own knife in training n than makes another one in a camp fire at some point while he's on the run. The movie was kinda entertaining but I don't think the knife he made is realistic for him.
