Ugliest Strider Ever?

What is often left out of the description is that the quenching of the blade is performed in a silver nitride solution of holy water so it also works well on werewolves and demons. There is also a special edition which has been "harmonically balanced" (TM) so that when a powerful blow has been struck and your opponent deanimated, the vibrations induced in the blade are exactly tuned so it screams "Lick my sack!"

After checking out the photos in this thread, I have come to the conclusion that some of the Strider fixed blades are good looking knives. I really like that pattern welded bowie.

Here are a couple of my favorite Striders.

A non-recurve nightmare MS custom damascus SMF

An older Mark 1 using ATS-34 steel. At least that is the way it is stamped.

There are Strider knives that I like. The more traditional looking ones. I will have to say, that they are a lot tougher than I original thought.

I am not a real fan of striped finishes (no matter who makes them).

There is, however a very practical use for that particular blade design. When you are involved in a true escape and evade situation it makes a great vegetable harvester. Just think of the ease with with you could harvest a backpack full of rice, or corn or pine apples ? Just place the stem of the plant in the wierd hole/sharpened hookie thingimabob and make a drawing pulling motion toward your self...........................right???

Or if you had really skinny girlie legs. This would make a perfect time saver. just place your skinny girlie legs in the sharp rounded hole and shave 1/2 your leg at a time????

Back when I first started coming to BladeForums I remember doing a search on Strider and finding this knife. Back then I thought it was cool looking and e-mailed them about it thinking it would be cool on a wall. Little did I know it was several months rent.

However, I would swear up and down that the guys at Strider replied to my e-mail saying that it was designed as a promotion of one of the blades shown in one of the first Microsoft X-Box games. (Microsoft wanted a cool knife and asked Strider to do it or something like that.) I forget which game. Let me go looking for it.

Don't own a strider, and I don't intend to, it isn't my thing.

However I do own a bunch of Khukuris. :D

Will Cliff ever be allowed back??????????
I know he had a style that rubbed some the wrong way but he had many worthwhile qualities as well.
Is he banned for "Eternity"

I like Cliff and miss him.
What exactly got him banned in the first place?
Was it the heresy of saying 420HC is a better steel than S30V?

The "lick my sack" quote was awesome!

I was wondering about that, too. He was an ass, but at least he had some decent arguments.

You'll gonna hate me for this guys... A friend of mine said, that only 4 people you need to heard about knives here in BF, and Cliff is one of them. I'm just a noob anyway. Cheers!
