Ugly Knife Makeover!

Great job! That took a lot of hand work for sure. :D

I really enjoyed modding this one because the before and after was drastic. Also, it was so screwed up to begin with that I didn't have too much worries about making it worse ;)

You guys should have seen the original knife in person. It was alot uglier than shown in the pics. Of course I am not talking about the original knife before the owner took a portable belt sander to it ;)

As I said before on another thread....

Real Custom Mod Jobs are better done by the Busse Custom Shop. Their workmanship are much better and their work retain or increase the value of your knives. My mods maybe another story. Hell, I'll be lucky if they don't decrease in value. I don't really care because all of my mods except this one are my own knives.

I will take requests so long as you are aware that there is a chance that your blade can be screwed up ;) In this case the owner had nothing to lose :D

I can't imagine what sort of idiot could have done the first job. :p

You`d be amazed. People always say "Yeah, I had this friend (past tense) who makes knives and I asked him to tweek it a little for me. Can you fix it?"

And you have to be the badguy and tell them that thier "friend" ground the blade paper-thin and also burned the temper out of the blade so now it`s just an expensive paperweight.

Ban, that is very impressive. At first glance I did not realize just how much you had changed the grind. I'm not sure of the technical terms but I would say that you took the knife from a shallow saber grind to almost a full flat grind. Not only does the blade look 100% better, but I would imagine it is now a far more efficient cutter. Grinds are clean and straight. To me that is what it is all about. Again let me say that you did a really wonderful job. I would have no qualms about sending you one of my blades for refurbishing. Congratulations on a job well done.

Great job Ban!!!

Awesome work!!!

Ban, you do terrific work. Just outstanding. That knife is beautiful now
