Uh oh, it's happening again......

What do you do? come on, we all know the answer...
I'm not a fan of pen configurations, but that ebony #33 looks really nice (and I was betting that Trand would come out with the stag #33 to pull Carl's leg).
I will give you my two cents of advice.
Downsize more, and get the Conductor. I have no idea of how many knives you own, or how many you've sold lately, but if you like this one so much, I'm sure that you can look at your knives and find something that you would swap for the #33.
That's the way I do it. And I can count my knives with the fingers of m hand, and consider myself happy, cause every knife I got has come as an "improvement" to the one that had to go.
Sidenote: Stu, I love the etch on your knife. If I may ask, how did you apply ferric chloride on the spring? a q-tip or something like that?

Fausto

Q-tip, yes Fausto.
I mix the FeCl3 about 50/50 with warm/hot water and use a Q-tip to apply the solution. Keep the surface as completely covered as possible. Doesn't take long, between 30 seconds and 2 minutes depending on how dark you want to go.
Be sure to really clean the steel first. I use acetone.

Good luck!

......
The only thing that's stopping my is that little voice saying "Do you really NEED this knife? Isn't this how we got in this position in the first place?"
..........

We can be 99.99% sure that no one that is here of this forum needs another knife
We all have one knife, so we do not need a 'second' one.

I want
My wanting is uncontrolled and rampant, and I NEED to control my spending

Or

I just sold off a bunch of knives
I see a knife that will give me pleasure in using (not collectiing)
I am able to afford to spend the money in this want

It is a really nice knife in ebony

I think I'm gonna carry this guy for a few more day and think about it a bit.

This is a Case 6208 half whittler. I'm assuming that it it pretty much they same size and shape as the conductor. Can anyone confirm this?

I've been tempted by that particular Conductor many times. I love my bone handled one, it may be my favorite GEC.

Just about. The Case is 3 1/4 inches in length, which is just an eighth of an inch shorter than the Conductor.

Well, as fate would have it, I went back to the site and that particular model is marked sold. I guess it's probably for the best. Thanks for the input guys.

I'd bet it's this thread that sold it, you should see about getting a commission. ;)

Lol. I thought the same thing. Maybe I should start waiting to post about a knife until AFTER I actually get it. ;)
