Uh-oh -Tomar's

I bought a BK16 earlier this year as a hunting and field knife, based on recommendations here. I love it, carry it in the field, ended up buying a Skystorm sheath for it. No regrets and I reach for it whether I'm camping, hunting, or just bumming in the woods.

Made the mistake of looking at Tomar's site today, and ended up ordering a 14. And the scales. And the TDI clip. I was looking hard at buying an Izula 2, but I just like my 16 so much I hadn't done it.

The 14 seems perfect - the Becker I know I'll like, and the handle of the Esee.

It's just my second Becker.....there's still hope for my bank account....

I know - I never use a big knife for chopping. I use my chain saw and ax. But I have a big mess of downed trees that need reducing to firewood as soon as its warm out. I bet the 9 would come in handy for some of that.

I just got my second as well...

Well, my second BK-17.

Oh, and if you don't like waiting (like I don't) head over to Troy Illinois and you can walk out of the store (Grand Prairie Knives) with any/all of the Beckers. And they have the micarta and zytel in stock. Not saying not to shop at Tomars, just I don't have the patience for it personally.

I agree with you as I always go for an ax over a big knife for chopping. That being said using a big knife to chop stuff is fun as all get out.

Let me know when you start skipping lunch so you can buy more Beckers. That's when we'll know you're serious.

I just bought a nearly new 7 on BCUSA. I'm not crazy about the design, had one before and sold it, but I've got a couple of mods in mind. We'll see how it goes.

I've heard of that place. Need to check it out sometime.

Yep, just the beginning. I started with a 2. Then a 9. Then a 16. Then a 7. Then a 10. Then a 22. And I don't even have all of them yet.

I got addicted to Beckers in this order: 14, 17, 9, 13, 13, 2. Now I want a 1,3,4,5,6,7,(I guess I want an 8...),11,12,15,16,24, and the Khuk.

I bought my first Becker Friday and just received it today... needless to say I'm already craving another. Before I purchased my BK2 I was looking into either the BK11, BK14, or the Izula II. All three seem like awesome knives, so now it's just decisions making time!
