As per the title, I’m in the UK so I understand if some makers are unwilling to deal with the hassle. However, fingers crossed.
I recently acquired a Condor Kephart, and it is a great knife. I’d like a similarly sized Kephart knife by a maker using better materials. I like carbon steels, and would prefer a carbon steel for this knife, but 1075 as done by Condor is just a little too soft for me.
I am no millionaire, but I do understand that bespoke items deservedly command higher prices. Hopefully someone out there will be interested in working on this. I’ve never ordered a custom knife before, but have had other custom items made by a craftsman in the USA and it was always fine at both ends.
