I realized how SWEET a Spydie Slippie is!! The only slip joints I had ever had were SAKs. I am not worried about getting bit by the UKPK too much because the only thing I have ever had slam shut on a SAK while using it was the awl or screw drivers and I was using way too much pressure anyways. Any blade work I'd do with a knife like that would be very light so the lack of a lock was not a concern. HOWEVER as soon as I pulled the UKPK out I realized what was so sweet about it besides the S30V blade, G-10 handles, wire clip, ergos, and the cool little signature on the blade and that was the HOLE! Yeah of course it's a Spydie so Duh, but a slippie with a hole! All my SAKs take two hands and usually a good nail to access the blade and tools. With the hole the UKPK is the instant king of my slip joints for the simple reason I can operate her one hand like the other Spydies. I see this little jewel knocking the Delica out of it's place in when I'm taking a lighter duty EDC than my Millie. Sweet little knife and would love to see a sprint run with some cool exotic handle. I guess that may call for liners though but I'm sure they could come up with something.

It's one of my favorites Spydercos for many of the reasons you listed. It's so convenient to open, cut and close compared to traditional slipjoints, the wire clip is the best clip ever IMO and the ergos are superb.
