ukpk vs. delica

Hi REM1, have you handled both? I say buy both. Skip a few dinners out, or skip a few movies or trips to the bar (whatever you do). That's what it equates to. If you don't like one, sell it. I'd say go with a Caly3, best of both worlds. I love my S30V UK and ZDP Delica, but I use the delica more often. Either way you can't go wrong. One thing though, I often need to tighten down my UK. There's wiggle. Good luck.

Here's a recent shot of mine. They feel very similar in pocket.

Same size blade almost. The choil is a non-factor to me really. But the lock is, so I would really ask yourself what you are using it for and do you have knives for other stuff if this one is just going to be a light edc.

Someone just posted a drop point with gin-1 "budget" steel and tbh, I've whittled green wood and made festhersticks with no issues. Its a tough little knife that UKPK. Around the house I do tend to grab the Delica more. But if I'm going to use something in public I generally grab the UKPK or a slipjoint which are really great EDC's!

The Byrd line is awesome as well. I have a Cara Cara 2 for doing crap tasks!
