Ukpk

the ukpk is a real gem
it never ceases to amaze me the fact that it doesn't have bladeplay at all (of course, keeping the force applied within ''slipjoint parameters'')
plus i love the linerless construction
i have both 2008 versions (od & orange)

I have to say it is my favorite knife, and the greatest thing Spyderco has ever made. At first when I got it as a gift from my fiance I thought it was a joke, but then I grew to love the knife.

I was already sold on the Calypso, Jr./Calypso III design before I got my UKPK. The design is both ergodynamically close to perfect, and the thin, flat ground blade cuts better than most other knives. It's slim and light, so you barely notice it in your pocket. And it's as much knife as most of us really need for an EDC.

I don't miss the lock when I carry and use it

Thanks, All! What will be the difference with the Urban compared to the UKPK??
The UKPK, is looking better all the time! :)

yes. I have 3 customized ones, in addition to the original ones. The DKPK is a good example of a shorter blade. Tough to find though.
I think the urban will have shorter blade length and contruction to allow different scales and bolsters (maybe ?).

I love the UKPK. Of all the Spydercos I've ever had this one is right up in the top few in terms of being a pleasure to use. Great design.

Mmmm  Really nice POCKET knife. ...and is so slim and lightweight

I was skeptical at first about this "non locking" thing but the spring that holds the blade is quite strong. Guess I wouldn't use it for more serious tasks but I am confident using it for cutting fruit, cardboard boxes and such.

I really like the UKPK a lot, it is one of my favorites. Slim, light, great ergonomics, very good blade shape.

Just the fact spyderco took a chance and gave us in the UK a legal quality folder that wasnt a SAK is to be commended IMO.However they didnt just do that they made one of the best knifes ive ever used because i can now carry a good knife legally IMO its the best knife i own.
I cant fault it in any way.It must have been a financial risk to make this knife as the UK knife market is very diffrent from the US im glad its worked out for everyone.

brj---Would you buy me one---I'm broke!! :)
I wonder where the money went??

I would, my friend, but i desperately need a second S90V Military
and a Police 3
and a Rocklobster
and a zdp Chinese Folder
and a Micro Dyad w/ black pearl
;)

Please don't post anymore pictures of that knife! those pictures do more than any catalogue photo, it is beautiful! I will be on the orange Wharncliff Urban like stink on a monkey when it becomes available, and am trying to resist buying the orange UKPK as a stop gap (already have the black one).

Did someone say they wanted a few pics of the UKPK ?
