Ultimate "Dream Team" collaborations?

Neil, that would be a very dangerous knife. It would have a point on both ends and be covered in blood. One side would be flat ground, the other hollow. A Koa wood handle with Micarta inserts. The liner lock would be fake because I never make folders. And only one would ever be made, since one of the makers would likely be dead, and the other retired to ClubFed making license plates.

It's no accident that he lives in Hawaii and I in Georgia. That's about as far apart as we can get.

I do like his TNT folder though. Choke! Choke! Damn, that hurt to say that.

Donna--If that is indeed your real name, and if you are indeed female...are you married?

Will,
If you are a good boy, I might let you take a peak at my Schott dagger sometime.

Little did I know when I mentioned the R.J. Martin/Ed Schott dream team that it really is a possibility. I learned this after I posted.

Hey Mike, we did come up with a bunch of new names for Ken Onions stuff at the steakhouse. Remember the Wild West Onion?

I have to be nice to Ken though cause he not only bought dinner he gave me half his steak!

I guess he thought I looked too skinny........

How about a Mad Dog/Mike Turber/Spark collaboration? He says he quenches his knives in blood, doesnt he?
And maybe a Darrell Ralph/Lynn Griffith?

Anybody have any Ghillie suits to trade?

Oh Will...

We have to stop meeting like this, others may begin to talk and they just wont understand the steel connection here.

Yes, but please don't tease me. You know when you show me your Martin, I'll want to touch it.
On the other hand, if you let me have it, I'll give you my best Schott!

Lifter,
What would that be a beadblasted fixed blade with cool cutouts in the blade, and some fantastic handle carvings?

In all seriosness though, Darrel Ralph makes some truly beautiful functional knives. I know that we make very different types of knives. For that reason, I doubt there would ever be a true collaboration. You can bet you bottom dollar though that makers such as Darrel Ralph inspire me to always try and do better. That statement could also be said about Tim Herman who's color engraving and fantastic eye for style blow me away. Or for Kit Carson, who comes as close to perfection with tactical folders, as anything I have ever seen.

Busse and Reeve. How about an INFI Project 1, or a hollow handled Mistress? Don't forget a Busse collaborated, INFI Sebenza!!

Donna--
Really enjoyed your thread on Ed's camp knife on the other forum. Mentioned to my wife how impressive it was to hear an articulate female's opinion of knife performance--a different and refreshing point of view.
She said she couldn't understand why I would be surprised by your abilities in that regard, and added that she thought I'd done enough collaborating on this thread for a while...

With all honorable intentions,
Will

My vote would be for Jerry Busse to work with Cold Steel. It could only help each other - Jerry's able to produce more knives at his usual high quality and Cold Steel learns diplomacy. I'm serious...I'm also ducking....
