Ultimate Fighter for 7/17

Just got it... what a beauty. No false edge here, its pure blade up and down... and still has the great forward weight of the traditional Khukri's, I guess that is why the spine was taken so far forward and so thick... for the traditional balance.

The wood is beautiful. The blade is sharp, but I will touch it up with the power-strop with 5micron (green) to really make her hair popping (I hope catepillar can take and edge like that)...

She looks like she will be a fantastic all around'er and fighter... a bit heavy for a fighter, but the reach, point, and double edge makes her deadly to no end... front cut, back cut, thrust, you name it... a monster.

Thanks Yangdu, thanks customer who backed out =)

(details to come when i start using her, including a balance pic,.. which may not be for a month or so, new baby in the house, and house move this month...)

Hey! Right on time (12 days or so late!) to see this. Very nice knife and a good size. I have an engraved one I bought from Yangdu after Dick Singer passed on it, and it is a bit too large at 20.5" and 45 oz.

Bura made it with a neem handle, and I need to turn it down as the grip is a bit too large for me.

Nice integral handle/bolster. This one also does away with the rear handle nut which I changed on mine (removed, rounded and cold blued, and then reinstalled with a new blued washer.)

Great snag! In the past 2 months I have posted less here than at any time in the past 3 1/2 years. Changing jobs again and lots to deal with, but I sure miss this place and sharking for the deals every day!
