HANDCRAFTED BY ROYAL KAMI BURA

Named the ULTIMATE FIGHTER this knife is absolutely awesome. It is 20 1/2 " overall with a 1/2" spine weighing 45 oz. Each side of the blade has an engraved DOUBLE DRAGON that is truly a work of art. The handle is made of NEEM WOOD (which has a wonderful odor--spicy) with the traditional style bolster and buttcap of brass. It has a mushroomed full tang with a sturdy bolt attached to the buttcap to stabilize it.The scabbard is RED LEATHER and so luxurious looking. I am offering this knife at only $275.00. WHAT A BARGAIN !!!!! *SOLD*

Wow, what a nice offering, Yangdu!
That engraving looks awesome! Bura is a man of many talents, it seems.

I might have to change that nut to a brass acorn nut, though.

I worked on my computer connection all morning as it was no good. I tested it and got online 2 minutes after Yangdu posted this. My Outlook email wasn't up, but I jumped over to the SBC home page and fired off an email to yangdu. I waited 3 minutes and got a returned mail that my mail to "himim@aol.com" was no good. :grumpy:

Missed the sher atitude yesterday because one of my guys wanted to waste my time for two minutes talking about his eye dr. appt., missed the sporting goods store last night by 2 minutes, and now this by 2 minutes! I'm just too late lately!

I cannot friggin' believe this run of luck I have been having. Missed the sher atitude yesterday because one of my guys wanted to waste my time for two minutes talking about his eye dr. appt., missed the sporting goods store last night by 2 minutes, and now this by 2 minutes! I'm just too late lately! I give up...

Yeah, but I've never called Yangdu as she would quickly get swamped. Email is the way to go. Just as well I guess! Can't have the outflow exceed the inflow anyway, at least not for too long. Second nice one of a kind snag for Sogguy!

Forty-five ounces!

Half-inch thick!

20.5 inches long.

Could do some serious mischief.

Nice buy, Sogguy

Medievel lookin'. I like it. Something almost axe or halberd-like, it seems.

I was actually thinking of a nickel or polished SS. Any thoughts?

This might be a dumb idea, but if you could grind a half-moon-shaped piece of wood of suitable coloration, it wouldn't be hard to drill the center of it out and epoxy the nut into it. You'd keep the weight balance, and have an oval cap on the khuk.

And, you could change it back to full original at your whim.

dunno.

With the amount of drop in the blade, and the curve and upsweep angle, it looks almost like the old sickle sword design. But in an indestructible crowbar frame.

I am assuming the threads are metric.
Nickel might be hard to find, although any marine, motorcycle, or watercraft dealer will stock stainless metric fasteners. I also like Kismet's idea of fashioning a cover in the shape of Bura's hallmark, be it wood or metal.

I like the half moon idea, any ideas on where to obtain a peice of Leem, or would a Teak (?) be better because of hardness?

Wow, this is the knife that Yvsa did a special sneak peek review on a while ago. That engraving adds a real touch of class. That's a nice one, for sure.

Yep! If I had used my regular Outlook it would have auto-filled it in, but I had to type it into the web page version and in my excitement just blew it. May not have beat Sogguy in any case, but mistyping it sure didn't work!

With the brass buttplate as a spacer, you could use almost any wood you choose, and stain it to suit, providing a bit of contrast to the handle without being garish.

I like the looks of Red Mahogany stain on hardwoods. YMMV
