Ultimate Machete Sheath

Yeah, all that for a $6.00 machete. Crazy, isn't it? :D

Really it isn't. My dad hand me down a tram years ago and it's still mint.. it's at least 30 years old. My only dissapointment is that the nice leather sheath that came with it.. is torn half way, down to the tip.

You got yourself a user for life... enjoy.. and A+ on the sheath its really a beaut.:D

There was a discussion on another board about the "ultimate" shotgun and how there never could be an "ultimate" as no one agrees.

Apparently, the arguments on that forum don't apply to this machete sheath. You, sir, have found the ultimate. That is incredible.

Well, it's the ultimate I have seen so far. :D

Gee, and I thought ultimate might be a bit of hyperbole. :D

I think in recent times the media has sensationalized the commonplace so much, so often, that hyperbole is almost impossible. :) Words like "ultimate" and "awesome" are just ho-hum adjectives stuck in front of most anything.

But back to your incredibly awesome totally ultimate kick-ass sheath... My heart is filled with desire every time I see something like that. And usually, when I feel that way I pony up the cash (if possible) and satisfy my desire.

I just can't decide which of my knives I'd want a beautiful leather sheath for! Did you decide to get one for your tram because it's your favorite or most-used, or because a sheath that size offered the best showplace for the leatherwork?

Stay sharp,

I decided that my most used big knife, a Tamontina machete deserved a nice sheath. But when I got the sheath for it, I was blown away, and got a new Tram for it.

Horn Dog,

That sheath is something special.. I use a machete so much in the summer it would be pretty easy to justify the fancy leather! Hmmm....

As I sit here with the dye drying on the bushcraft style sheath I'm making for my new EnZo... I'm now feeling quite inadequate.

I'm in awe of the craftsmanship on that machete sheath. The attention to detail... the thought that must've gone into it... the amount of hand stitching (I'm assuming, here - that's what it looks like to me)... the carving... the burnishing and finish...

Just... Wow!

Jeff took his time on this one. When I finally got it along with some leather for my Busses, I was literally in awe. I showed it to anyone who came by. One hunting buddy said, "Man, you must really like that machete a lot". I told him that I did not even own a knife that I liked as much as this sheath. It hangs in my living room, as a testament to my excesses and a demonstration of Jeff's high art.
