Ultra Fine stone, Extra-Extra Fine stone, or Strop?

After years of using 6 inch DMT stones (as well as other stones) I have decided to upgrade to the 10 inch DuoSharp Bench Stones. I just want the bigger stones. They are two sided, so I’m getting the Extra Coarse/Coarse stone and the Fine/Extra Fine stone. That should cover grits of 60 micron/220 mesh, 45 micron/325 mesh, 25 micron/600 mesh, and 9 micron/1200 mesh.

Now my question: What to do after the Extra Fine 9 micron/220 mesh? That’s as fine as the DMT DuoSharp stones go. I could get the DMT 8 by 3 inch Dia-Sharp Extra-Extra Fine 3 micron/8000 mesh stone. Or I could get the 8 by 3 inch Spyderco Ultra Fine ceramic stone (micron and mesh uncertain, but about the same as the DMT Extra Extra Fine). Or I could just skip the Extra Extra Fine and/or Ultra Fine stones and go straight to stropping.

I’m kind of leaning toward just going straight to the strop after the DMT Extra Fine 9 micron/1200 mesh. Is that a bad idea? Should I have an Ultra Fine rigid stone before the strop?
