Here's an offering of a piece of my own History. I started aking Karambits almost 10 years ago. They weren't very good when I started because I'd never made a knife before. However, they weren't terrible.....well some of them weren't terrible...he,he.

Anyway, this is essentially the Prototype of what becamee my Model 1(which has since this year been again re designed). I made only this one and a few other Karambits of different style blades. They were out of damascus and BG42. This was one of those first 7 knives I ever made. It was part of the batch that TADGEAR bought from me. But I didn't sell this one. These knives pics were posted on BF back then as well.

Anyway, this sucker is made of 3/16" BG42 Rc 60. Hand finished to about 320 grit. Black/green & pistachio G10. With Nickel silver pins. The file work is simple but all hand done as well as the thumb ramp serrations. This knife was made with flat and round files to start. After that I held onto it and bought one of those Multi Tool grinders back when they only had the small 3" wheel. So I use dthat to do the G10 and re finish the bevels.

The index finger hole was drawn on the steel and I drilled 1/8" holes around the circle and used a cut off disc to cut the steel out and then dremeled the circle smooth.

So that's it. it ain't perfect and it ain't big at 1 1/3" blade length and a OAL of 5 3/4" The pins are sound and the handle is epoxied forever but there are minor burn marks around the pins from grinding. They are minor and not real visible. The bevels are 320 grit and are V ground to a zero edge. The ergo's aren't as good as mine are now but it actually fits my hand like a glove. VEry comfy and snug.

This has been carried by moi. I recently took it into the shop and cleaned it up so that it looks virtually brand new. It doesnt even have my logo etched but I will do that now before it sells.

You get this sentimental baby for just $200. shipped conus.

Thanks for looking!
