Here’s something that may never be seen again, as only FOUR of these were ever made in this color combination.
Swamp Rat WAKI and CHOPWEILER with BAMA CLAY Blades and Tan Handles.
Never Used, Mint Condition and RAZOR Sharp. Absolutely Beautiful Blades still in the cardboard sheaths!
I won’t bother with all the specs because anyone looking for a Waki or Chopweiler on this forum already know all of the details.
The deal is, due to the high collectability of these two blades, I don’t want to use them and detract from their value, as these blades are already rapidly appreciating in value and will be the jewels in any Busse/Swamp Rat collection, just Google Swamp Rat’s Bama-Clay blades and you will see how scarce these are already.
However, ideally, I’m not wanting to sell them. What I would like to do is to find another WAKI and CHOPWEILER in darker colors. Preferably in either MUDDY, TANKER GRAY, BLACK, and/or to find a custom finished SATIN bladed WAKI with a convex grind.
I realize that I could have the SATIN finish applied to these blades, but again, with only FOUR of these BAMA Blades in existence, I think it would be sacrilege to do that to such an extremely rare collectible.
So, anyone interested in making any trade offers, I am open for consideration, for either one or them both together. Please note, I am looking for another Waki and Chopweiler. I would probably trade the Waki straight across for a custom Satin finished convex ground one, or perhaps a dark-handled Muddy, and would probably trade the Chopweiler for a muddy bladed one as well. Other than that, it would really depend on the offer.
Please note though, the EXTREME rarity of these blades. These are not blades that can be custom ordered anymore. My understanding is that there were four WAKIs made and four CHOPWEILERS in BAMA CLAY, and they are now GONE. Anyone familiar with the Supply and Demand of Swamp Rats know that they have a remarkable resale life, no one has a hard time selling WAKIs and Chopweilers- much like crack, they sell themselves. Now, add to that the fact that only FOUR of these will ever exist. (Remember the old Busse AKs’? I recently saw one on the back of a milk carton with the caption “Have You Seen Me For Sale Lately?”) These are some Safe Queens that will only continue appreciating in value.
I just want to get some Rats out in the field now though, so if anyone has an equivalent trade offer, I’m open.
Please feel free to email. –Thedeepellum@ccountry.net
