Hey Stabber :)

I use a LOT of AA batteries and have some questions about these.
And I swear.........in regards to my first question, I'm not trying to be a wise a** , really ;)

What are these "protected" against ?

Size wise, are these compatible with lights and other devices that use AA size batteries ?
They appear to be about the same size when looking at the pics, but because of the #'s shown on the batteries (BRC18650 & 3.7 V), I'm not sure  :D

Last question ................ what type charger does a guy need to keep these @ full power ?

Thanks Buddy

18650's are a lot larger and more powerful than standard AA's.
These are lithium ions and require a special charger for lithium batteries.
18650's are usually used in high output flashlights, as well as other uses.

Protected means they're set up to resist overcharging.
Good price on these.

Thanks OBX

I should probably get out a little more than I do, this is the first time I've encountered this type battery.

Like I mentioned in my first post, they appeared to be ~ AA size. The 3.7V output vs. AA's 1.5V output threw me though, that's what prompted the questions.

In regards to the price being good on these ?? No surprise there.
After dealing with him for so many years I've found it to be SOP for stabber.

He always has the best prices on everything he sells ........ ;)

Thanks again

He does have good prices, no doubt about it!

Stabber, I'll take 6 of them. PM me your PP address please....

Thanks for the Kind words Guys:thumbup:
18650 is equivalent to 2 cr123 batteries in power.

A protected cell beeps when the battery is going dead. You will ruin the board(brain) of the light if it goes dead!
PM sent OBXTucker. Thanks, Stabber

1 CR123 = 3.0v
1 Li-Ion = 3.7 nominal 4.2 max

So these cells beep? Most protected cells have over charge, over discharge, and over current protection. The protection PCB usually just cuts out when any of the *over* things happen.

I'll take a pair.
