I wanted to know who manufactured them and where. To know what kind of quality they were compared to a reputable brand of diamond plate.
You can’t disagree that too much pressure can strip diamonds and it is more prevalent on cheaper stones .
Yes we can’t assume everything coming from certain countries are of poor quality but it was more out of curiosity. It would be a mistake to automatically correlate country of origin with quality. That said, I don't know where they are made.
I don't disagree with the premise but these are not cheap poor quality stones.
Yea I saw those pictures while searching whats going on with the stone and yea I'm not really worried about the discoloration but those weird dots I think I'm just gonna roll with it thoughI'm not supposed to link to the site because they aren't a supporting vendor so... Google "ultra sharp diamond stones" and a vendor should pop up. The vendor name will indicate they have some of the best supplies you can get. Understand?
Click the link and in the middle of the page will be a description, there will be a green box that says Use and Care, click it. There will be a picture and while there are no dots, you can see the discoloration that is similar to what you are seeing.
So I got a message from the vendor they will just replace it with a new stone and to keep the old one, like wow didn't expect that one, gonna just keep using the old stone until it gets worse and keep the other one or not sure what but yeaIt would be a mistake to automatically correlate country of origin with quality. That said, I don't know where they are made.
