Not for logging but lots of uses: I keep one by my wood stove to split fat wood, my son cuts up chickens and a customer skins deer.

This was profiled for me by Great Lakes Waterjet. If you feel that a maker should be doing 100% of the work in his own shop than this is not the tool for you.

Ground from 1/4 inch 5160
Convex grind polished to a mirror finish
Hammer marks on the flats (I did this while I was doing normalizing cycles but still consider this stock removal. work)
Stabilized curly maple handle
Overall length: about 7 inches
Cutting edge: 3 1/2 inches
Riveted eather edge protector

$180 delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com Checks with time to clear and USPS money orders also accepted.

Regardless of how the crafting cycle went, it's an excellent chopper.
I don't think you need to make any apologies.

I've always loved the look of those and that one might well be your nicest yet...one day Gerry, one day ;)

What a great hatchet/ax for a deer hunter. Perfect size to fit in a small packpack and use it to split the pelvis bone when field dressing!!

Very, very nice!!

My dad needs that for splitting cedar fence post kindling! Make more, I'll save up!

I have one of these and love it! Very hefty, yet compact cutting tool. (Really hate to call it an axe.) No butchering deer with this one though - I keep it on display in the kitchen and use it for making short work of cutting buffalo wings, slicing apart big cuts of meat and using the ulu function to rock back-and-forth over herbs. Wonderful tool and one that always gets attention.

What a great piece that is. I feel a need coming on. I'm going to post a link to this in the hawk forum.
Best regards

Robin

I bought one of Gerry's first ulus and it's a dandy. My brother decided he liked it better than I did so it's on his pack now.

Missed the boat on that one but would love to order one of these little choppers.....

sending PM.....

Got to open my package today, what a nifty Ulu/ax. Money well spent, I am going to keep mine in the kitchen.

Thanks G.L. Drew, great work.
