It has been a while since I posted one of these. Customers tell me they work well for a great number of jobs (except logging). Used like an ulu in the kitchen they work well for dicing vegetables and meat, I used one to skin a white tail, it can clean the briers away from your deer stand, it is sharp enough slit open a fish etc, etc.

1/4 inch 1095
Convex grind
Mirror finish on the grinds and a mill finish on the flats
Stabilized curly maple handle
Overall length: +/- 8 inches
Cutting length; approximately 3 3/4 inches
Riveted leather sheath with a belt loop

that little chopper is gonna drive me nuts. once you learn how to use a small axe , it becomes the go to tool.

That rounded back to the head that GL puts on these makes them very easy and comfortable to work with. Really is one of the neatest little tools I have.

I agree completely. This is wonderful piece of cutlery and I'd buy it if I didn't already have one. Beautiful work!

I'd get one in a heartbeat if it wasn't for a few other things I'm already interested in and dedicated to for this month... just don't stop making them (as I'm sure this one'll go soon.)

You just had to make another one of these, didn't you........

I'LL TAKE IT!

Paypal inbound.

Got the PayPal, your axe will go out in the morning mail. Thank you again for your support of my work!

I'm surprised it wasn't gone before noon.

Well, the way I figure it, some folks do have to work during the day, and maybe better weather had others out and about, so there are a few times when one of Gerry's "Jewels" takes more than an hour to sell!

I have one of these - really a fantastic tool and a work of art!

Mine stays in the kitchen alongside other high-end knives and it's always the first item that people "oooh" and "aaah" over when visiting. (It's scary sharp, too.) The ulu/axe has a wonderful in-hand feel to it and lends itself to daily cutting with the ulu motion. The great thing is that I can take a swing at breaking down ribs or chicken with ease as well...and then put it back up on display.

Kind of a shame to keep it in the kitchen when this would make a fantastic hunting blade, but I get much more use out of it this way. That and it's well worth putting it on display. ;-)
