Styled after the ancient arctic knives made originally from stone, sometimes from slate or granite. The modern ulus are used to process fish and prepare food. We use one at my house to chop vegetables and slice pizza.

Forged from L6 steel repurposed from a large saw blade
Heat treated to about Rc 60 in my Evenheat with attention to a fine grain structure
Slight convex grind with forged texture on the flats
Figured maple handle with some ambrosia staining
Width of the blade is 7 1/2 inches
Depth from the top of the handle to the edge is 5 inches
Blade thickness is about 1/8 inch at the flats and tapers to the edge
Leather edge guard
