If you have ever had the opportunity to watch one of the First People prepare salmon or caribou meat with one of these you will appreciate it's usefulness. It also works well in the kitchen for chopping veggies, cutting herbs or slicing a pizza. This is a large tool and was very difficult to photograph without my bald head in the reflection.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain structure
Slight convex grind
Professionally stabilized figured cherry handle
Tip to tip width is 7 1/8 inches with the depth from the top of the handle to the edge is 5 inches
I will provide a wooden block for storage on the counter or a leather edge cover, the buyers choice (or both if you want)
