Can I get a pick of one of these bad boys in hand? I just hope that the blade isnt too small for me.
 
I have a couple of questions. How is the tip strength? Does it come with a tool or what do you use to take the knife apart? And where is a good place to purchase one of these? Congrats to all owning one of these!
 
I have to say, I didn't like the looks of the Umnum when it first came out, but it has really been growing on me as of late. I'd like to handle one in person soon.
 
Pinkfloyd, the tip looks to be well reinforced with the extra steel from the increased blade thickness. The large sebbie is .125" thick in the blade while the Umnum is .140" thick...........it does make a difference! The tip keeps most of the blade thickness all the way out to where the grind starts. Probably thins a little from the last inch out to the point. That top swedge/fin looks to also strengthen the tip a little itself. Tool is a seperate item and will come in a kit of some sort. You can make a homemade tool to work if you want. As far as to where to get one....??? try some online retailers you read about here at BF, but these may be a bit scarace for the next bit until CRK is able to roll out enough to meet demand. I got on the CRK list back in 2006 when it was first mentioned!
