Umnumzaan Breakdown - Thoughts

Pivot diameters, per my digital calipers:
Umnumzaan- 8mm
Strider Sng-9.85mm
XM18-6.33mm
They are all pretty stout, much bigger than a typical Benchmade, ZT, Spyderco, Sebenza, etc. etc. pivot.

The XM-18 uses a hardened stainless fitting, as does Strider.
I don’t know if the ‘zaans pivot is hardened or not.

These are the outside diameters or the diameter of the pivot hole in the blade?

I just miss a small umnumzaan, i've handled a sebenza together with an umnumzaan, but the small sebenza suits my edc alot better, reallly hope crk makes a smal umnum, i'd definiatly would save up for that

I don't know if the Umnumzaan's design would be as suited to a smaller version. The Sebenza lends itself well, but right now I think the Mnandi - S Sebenza / L Sebenza - Umnumzaan works well.

Plus it'd be weird to have a 3" knife named "The Boss."

Pivot diameter=outside measurement of the pivot itself

The difference in the pivot hole measurement, on such close tolerance folders as these, is probably less than my caliper is capable of measuring.

I'd prefer something like "little boss" or "little man" if they did make one. Mate sounds like something more delicate.
