Umnumzaan inspired "key handle".

I really would have preferred a plain edge:p

Sorry, I couldn't help it. How did you make it?

That is a dangerous question to ask any engineer ! :p

I basically hate thowing away "useable" scrap, be it Ti, G-10, left over bits of steel or what ever. I start little projects to get it used up and this is the sort of stuff I make.

The off side scale is tapped and the screw (2/56 T6) goes through the front scale and spacer to hold it all together. The spacer was made from a bit of 5mm Ti bar stock and was taken down to match the width of the keys and washers. The pivot is just a standard 5mm T10 pivot. The stop pin is press fitted in the off side scale and fits a counter sink on the inside of front scale. The keys just needed ground down to shape and fitted so they sit in the correct position when opened and closed, much the same as one would have to do for a regular blade.

Here is a quick pic of it broken down into pieces.........:)

And yea, a plain edge would have been my first choice but they make for crappy keys. Don't think I haven't thought about Ti keys either.....because I have. :p

How much to make me one? I want it to hold about 3-5 keys.

I think it would be tough to make one for more than two keys. You would be getting into multi "keyed" slip joint territory there.

Also, I don't know how happy I would be making this sort of thing for other people TBH. Obviously it's blatantly using someone
elses design, I have a bit of a problem taking money for something like that.

If you want to make one your self I can help you with all the steps needed though, it's really not that hard. They can be done with G-10, CF or even wood too. :)
