There's so many Sebenza threads out that I thought we could bring up the younger but bigger brother, the almighty Umnumzaan :p

My Umnumzaan cut the cheese recently...

Of course, it makes an excellent outdoor and work knife :)

Like the other threads on Sebenzas, shows them users, talk about the functionality of your Umnumzaan.

It is good to see people using their works of art for practical use....I love the wavy look of the Umnumzaan...it is just beautiful!!!!

Aye, I'm sold on the Umnumzaan too. I actually just bought my second Umnumzaan today.

I've had mine for two weeks now and it hasn't left my pocket! My other knives are very jealous! It's getting smoother every day. Just the perfect edc.

Another Zaan fan here... Like my first one I got so much off the forums, I ordered a Tanto version from TNK a few weeks later.

I'm waiting on a brand new one myself! It was ordered right after Christimas so they are very back logged right now!

I have a lot of love for my Umnumzaan. When it was first released in 2008 I didn't like it that much, but when I had one in my hand I bought it on the spot.

Lol, if it helps any I used my Umnumzaan to cut up an orange before work last night :D

Has to be the next on my list in production folders on my list. I have never had the chance to hold on yet. The beefy looking pivot and blade design have me on the hook.

I'd say I'm in the same boat. I was not particularly fond of it at first either. After a while and being able to play with one I warmed right up to it, I still don't like that handle texture much but it's a little woe in the larger picture. :)

I dont know how to post pics but when I first bought it it was shiny and new with no handle scratches. Couldnt bring myself to use it enough because i had plenty of more capable cheaper knives. Then I realized you just cant not use such a fine piece of art and workmanship. Plain looking and styled with a kick-ass blade, smooth as butter pivot, strong as hell pivot and perfect lockup make this my all around go to folder. I handled both sebbies and the Zaan the same day as i was torn between them all and the Zaan blows the sebbies away no comparison. sure there are improvements I would make but its damn near perfect. If Chris Reeve sees this, I want one with the handle completely polished and the grooves anodized blue.

I was never really impressed with the Umnumzaan's looks until I saw the Wilson Combat version. Now I'm waiting for my CC to tell me that, it'll be arriving soon. Hoping to love it as much as my sebenza.

Since we are talking about Umnumzaans I have been thinking lately that I would love to see an Umnumzaan Insingo. I think it would be the absolute perfect knife for me and I definitely can see it happening because there are already Tanto Umnums so I don't think it would be unrealistic for CRK to do an Insingo version.

it is truly a work of art. 3 weeks ago i ordered my first chris reeve knife. though i'm still waiting i look forward to joining the ranks! i picked up a small sebenza 21 freedom model. i do plan to get the umnumzaan as well. i just like the name, lol :)

Ive had my Zaan for a couple months now... I couldnt be happier with it... I took out the lanyard and clip, I carry it on a horizontal belt sheath from KSF_ the Horizon... Beautiful.

I recently sharpened it for the first time, and there is something in that, that seems to make it that much more personal... not sure why, but when I sharpen a knife for the first time, it seems to go from that new knife to functional knife feel. Kind of like a "rite of passage" lol

Knowing that I can restore it to razor sharpness makes me enjoy using it that much more.
