Umnumzaan or Glock

If you have to have one of them, go with the Umnumzaan. I had a Glock 21 and the thing was a piece of junk. It constantly jammed with both clips that were supplied. I used cheap ammo, high power ammo, everything, and it still jammed. A local gun dealer and some people I talked to at a gun show tld me the issue was the it was a glock 21 and that the 21 model had jamming problems. After my ordeal, I was not about to buy another, in any model. So I would check and see if the glock 23 has any issues. In the end, buy the CRK. Just my 2 cents.

Did you send it back to Glock for warranty repair?

To the original poster:
Get the Glock.

No, I contacted them and basically got the run around. They tried to say I assembled it wrong after cleaning or I was loading the magazine improperly......my first bad experience with customer service. It would jam, then shoot 200 rounds flawlessly, then jam again. I had got it for home defence, and was afraid of it jamming at the worst possible time. I had a friend that was a gunsmith / dealer and wanted a used glock for tinkering and upgrading. I ended up trading it to him for a new ruger 77/22. I dont know if he got it to work or not, he has since closed shop and I have moved out of the area. This was about 10 years ago !

Yeah 1911's are cool. But don't get a Kimber. SA makes a good base model with no frills. But still it is a large gun. And you have two large guns 9a 686 and G17)

get the 23 because it is easy to conceal and you won't feel like you are carrying a brick.

Colt CCO -commander slide to LW Offers frame. With the beslls and whistles. Priced today in the $2000. range. You get what you pay for and IMO the Glock is the best buy in CCW handguns today.

Buy ammo - I finally was able to buy 6 cases of 9mm here after months of the shelves being empty at wally world (since 11/4) - and forget about 223.. actually they did have two cases.. maybe I should go pick that up too... :D

I would get the Glock too.

And in the spirit of full disclosure, will say I have 3 Sebenzas, 1 Umfaan, no Umnums and no Glocks.

It's funny you would ask that since I just sold a G17 for $350 and ordered a large 21 the next day. It's due to arrive this Wednesday. I know it sounds crazy trading a gun plus change for a knife, but you guys understand. :o

I'd second the 1911 if that tempts you, or to at least sit on the money for a while longer and contemplate the decision. Don't regret your purchase and take a loss for it on a low budget like I did. For what it's worth I have my eyes on a Springfield GI but haven't actually shot it before. Can they really be found for $400? I thought they went for $575 and up.
I've seen used ones for not much more. I'm fairly sure a store in my area has a new one for $499 right now. Stainless or the OD finish will be a bit more though.

I'm going to eat you alive
you already have your gaps in these areas filled
why waste you money?
go buy a large fixed bladed knife
Horton...to be exact
or send me your money and I'll go to Vegas for the weekend and send you half the winnings or 0 if I lose
plmk

Personally, I'd go with the Springfield for the production types; otherwise I would suggest to save it up for something in the semi-custom range like a Les Baer, Ed Brown, Wilson combat, Nighthawk, etc. If you're really going for a 1911.

I agree and would narrow it further to Les Baer.

Buy the Umnumzaan, Sell the 21 and buy the Glock or if you can throw in some $$ the 1911. Or buy the Glock, sell the 21 and use the $$ towards an Umnumzaan.

Sell the 686. They are going for a premium right now if they don't have the stupid Clinton lock.

Then buy the G23 and get the knife.

Get the UM, and a Wilson catalog, then you can choose a real gun! 1911 all the way! Bart1

Umnumzaan. Once you own it, it is FREE to use and enjoy... unlike a gun... and the Um will NEVER run out of ammo!

Get the Glock but don't forget, if you try to slice cheese with the Glock you'll always end up with swiss.

If the Glock is a good price, buy it. And when you've saved up another $400, cruise the "for sale" section and buy the knife:)
