Whiskey is magic. Whenever I drink it, a new Chris Reeve knife appears on my door step within two or three business days. The brand of Whiskey doesn't seem to matter. Occasionally, beer works, too.
The Zaan is most certainly a worker; not as comfortable as the Inkosi or Sebenza (at least in my hands) but a very competent tool.I'm trying not to need one of these...
All hands are different - I find the Zaan the most comfortable of the three mentioned. I love how the blade tang fills the area right where the index finger and thumb "pinch" the knife. The Zaan is most certainly a worker; not as comfortable as the Inkosi or Sebenza (at least in my hands) but a very competent tool.
I think you need one.

Man, that looks perfect to my eye. Congrats on the score!Need some input from the Zaan experts. I managed a new Umnumzaan. It’s been a minute since I’ve bought a new Umnumzaan. How are we feeling about this lockup? Tang shows about 35% marking. A really slow opening doesn’t give a solid lockup but opening it sharply will provide what looks to be a 35% +/- lockup based on my eye.
Now I know Umnumzaans have to be broken in with the O-rings, ceramic ball, etc. but how would you all feel about this one. I feel like Umnumzaans are usually 50-70% lockup. Thoughts? Pics for reference.
Pictures here.
