As the title says- I have made a number of aluminum (6061-T6) pivot tools for the Classic Umnumzaan pivot.
Aluminum is stronger than the base material that was chosen for the original tools for the Umnumzaan and with care, should last as long as the Umnumzaan itself!
Generally speaking, there isn't a reason to purchase 2 of these tools. One should suffice unless loc-tite was added fairly liberally.
If you are right handed, hold the Umnumzaan in the left hand, with the thumb of your left hand on the pivot side opposite of that which you are going to use the tool on. Insert the tool and turn counter-clockwise.
Use the hex that has been added to the tool to complete the takedown of your Umnumzaan!
