So wait,
i see the pic of the whole knife taken apart, but i still don't understand the ceramic ball thing...where is it? and how exactly does it work?

Tontus

Its on the lockface. Prevents Ti on Ti contact, which will wear metal eventually.

Does it bother anyone else that the clip is held on with only one screw? Bothers me...

Hopefully someone else will chime in.

For what its worth, after talking to a well known knife maker and getting his opinion on framelocks my concerns for the ceramic ball has been put to rest. I was concerned with the ceramic and how it would wear, well in a nutshell. If a Ti lock face is heat treatment a few times the strength becomes equal to that of ceramic, even resisting beadblasting in some cases. So in essence a Ti lockbar with proper heat treatment is equal to the ceramic ball in wear resistance.

Buffalohump.

Remember the pocket clip goes into a recess cutout under the clip. So even with one screw the clip does not move around. When one removes the screw the tolerances are so high you have to pull on the clip to get it out of the recess.

So dont worry about it dude.
