My prediction is that it will be announced at Blade this year along with a small Umnumzaan.

unobtanium ... sorry, always wanted to whip that one out. I didn't know the Umnumzaan used a unknown metal - strange.

The stock ones use S30V, but a very few were made with a mystery steel that was scheduled to be announced already, but for whatever reason has not been revealed yet.

I'd get one. The Umnumzaan's size is the only thing holding me back from buying one.

Is it true that CRK is re-introducing the Umfaan?

I'd buy a small Umnumzaan right now too if it was available.

There is hope; Chris Reeve himself said that a small version is next after they've had some time to refine the large and pay off the tooling costs.

For the longest time the rumor has been that the Umfaan is coming back, but apparently nobody really knows for sure.

I might be on board for a small umnumzaan, i had the large proto, carried it for a week and sold it cause it was just to big for me to carry in my pocket.

I know that BigMark already has one from Plaza, and is unaware of what the steel is..... It was supposed to be announced at Shot Show this year, but was delayed for formal announcement until Blade.

Bigmark said that the new alloy was phenominal, IIRC it takes an edge like no other. I have been holding my breath about the mystery steel and trying to figure out what it could be since Plaza first had one of the Decorated Zaans back in Nov.
