Umnumzaan's I can't help myself!!

I agree Addicted!! I of course love all the CRKs but for some reason I am drawn to the Umnumzaan most of all.. It's just different some how.. More "Tactical" for sure, but more than that.. It is in my humble opinion the ultimate or even pinnacle design so far from CRK.. the 21 is the result of twenty one years of development of the "Original" Sebenza.. the "Regular" is a work of art.. But the Umnumzaan is in its own class. Something very special, especially in its original configuration. The 25 is an attempt to combine all of the three designs into the "Ultimate" CRK.. the "Tactical" Umnumzaan, the 21 and a little bit of the "Regular" with the new handle.
Wow.. I'm sure my observations will get some feedback!!:eek:
 
My first Chris Reeve knife and I carry it most every day. I use it for more thing than I like to admit It is not a safe queen it is me Pocket KING! Is that a new term ( Pocket King). Oh well all my knive are users except me small regular #31. I agree Mikepapa1 there is something special about the design it is every thing I like in a knife. Now if they would just make a small Umnumzaan life would be great.

:D If we were talking Strider (shh) , Spyderco or ZT it would already be.. But were talking CRK here..
ZT made 250 of the new 0888 and I have seen at least ten of them sold or for sale.. no loyalty there in my humble opinion.. If Chris came out with a limited edition of 250 knives I doubt you would see the lucky buyers selling them on the forums or e-bay for a quick profit..
It's not a knife.. It's a Chris Reeve Knife!!

My Um is my travel knife to repressive places where the Wilson .45 can't go! My Lg reg, is my EDC at home, more sentimental, but I'm good either way!Bart

Due to the wave feature, I revert to an Emerson (Kreined CQC-11, Super Commander or Roadhouse) for those occasions.

Makes my 3 look meager in comparison.

One of the great things about the Zaan is that there are so many minor variations to collect, it's the SKS or M1 Carbine of CRK's.

I think that anybody who's used one as there edc for any decent period of time will buy a second, it's just that good.

I still have that other item if you're feeling like adding a different handle to the collection ;)
 
I'm a big fan of the Umnumzaan and have been EDCing one for a few years now. The only knife that kicks it out of my pocket for a while is a Regular Sebenza now and then. I have 4 Umnumzaans all from 09, including one tanto. The tanto is a cool knife and I should probably start carrying it, too. :):thumbup:
