Here's my little forge that I've been using for the past year. It is small; the heat is very un-even. The gas doesn't "swirl" as much as it "blasts" against the opposing wall. But it does get steel hot. I've HTd at least 300 spikes and knives in it.
Chamber is 3.5" x 9"; you can extend the length by adjusting the rear bricks. Assembled with plates and threaded rods - no mortar - so you can loosen the nuts and move bricks around. For example, you can block off the rear at 9", or you can make a gap between the two rear bricks to pass the steel through.
Note this does NOT include the propane regulator/hose. You have female 1/4" pipe-threads on the fan plumbing. It does NOT include the cheap vise that I used to mount the fan assembly. It does NOT include the stand that is shown in the first photo. The forge needs to be raised 12" to 15" above the level of the fan assembly (as shown in the first photo).
The included items are shown in the second photo.
I do have a propane regulator and hose assembly for sale if interested, but it is lightly used so I would probably want 90% of cost.
$80 + shipping.
