Thanks! Interesting reading. It mentions GEC also uses an acorn shield, here is some acorn history

In 1919 Remington hired CW Tillmanns and his team of Solingen cutlers away from Bokers Valley Forge plant, which closed the following year. Tillmanns and crew had worked for Camillus until 1915, left for Utica to work on a Navy knife contract, and then moved to Boker. Tillmanns was cutlery production manager for both Boker and Remington.
