unauthorized advertising

I was simply putting up some top quality Moras to show where the type of knife comes from. I have no financial or other interest whatsofriggingever with advertising or selling anything.
 
FYI, sent following message to Bladeforums webmaster this morning: I recently had a post deleted by a mod, Esav Benyamin, for reasons that are not clear to me. He said it was for advertising, and then when I said I had no interest in advertising anything, just wanted to cite a couple examples of Moras to help make clear where they come from, he said he had not said I was. Another member a few posts above mine had cited brands of knives. I find it impossible to imagine a free and open discussion of knives and knife-making without naming names and the notion that only certain brands may be named smells like payola to me. His decision and the underlying policy are just moronic and I cannot participate any longer. Please delete my name from the members' list. Many thanks. all best wishes for the continued success you deserve.

The original poster asked about a knife he got and responses included suggestions of who made it and what area it may have come from. Miles Undercut posted two links to dealers selling Scandinavian knives. I felt this was too close to advertising for these dealers, and added nothing specific to the knife in question. His complaint that other brands were named is irrelevant. No one else named dealers.

We corresponded offline but he wasn't able to understand the difference.
 
Miles, I wish you could see all this from my perspective. There is really no reason for you to dash off all butt hurt over something this trivial. Don't escalate this thing way out of proportion. Come on back, forget it and enjoy! We'll all be glad you did. Oh, and just so you'll know, Ed, (Esav) is NOT one of the bad guys.
