Any chance you could get the guys to whip of a few extra sets of 'em and sell them as a seperate "accessory" that we could add in ourselves to our existing pieces?

How much, and is anybody else interested? Even if they were in four "assemble 'em yourself when epoxying them in" pieces (two main parts plus two eyes in a little baggie or something)?

They'd be small enough to just stuff in with a shipment and you could then put 'em in a regular .35cent envelope from your end?

They'd be worth $5 or even $10 to me a set (one per side)...

Jim, unless things have changed over there I used to see that yin-yang symbol on rings, ear rings, bracelets, and various other items and it was readily available assembled as you see it on the handles. Getting some in about the 1/2 inch diameter size should not be a problem -- IF things have not changed. Remember, I have not been back to Nepal since 1991 -- it will be 8 years this July.

We will know by this thread if there is an interest in this item. If there is we will supply the yin-yang.

I may be goin' to hell in a bucket, Babe, but at least I'm enjoyin' the ride.

See, by the slight unevenness on one picture I assumed they were being hand-carved-and-assembled by the kamis.

If that's NOT the case, we can probably score some here...then again, it might not be the same. If the originals are hand-drawn on small disks of some sort they'll have that same slight "neato handmade funkyness" as the rest of the Khukuris. This isn't meant as an insult

Jim, I am not sure if the kamis made the yin-yang themselves or bought them. I'm sure some of the Kamis like Bura and Prakash could make them but some of the younger ones I have doubts about. That is a totally different discipline.

If I were BirGorkha foreman I would buy the yin-yangs. It is more cost effective and the Newaris can do the yin-yang by hand so well it looks almost machine made.
