Uncle Bill's Memorial Knife

Dayum! Just got back from a much needed R&R respite from caregiving. Hope Yangdu gets some more in.

My sister came in from Phoenix to relieve me from my parental caregiving duties from 3-11 Sept. Hooked up my coleman popup, loaded my Blue Heeler and went to visit friends in Peno Altos (Tall Pines) north of Silver City NM.
Had a nice time visiting and imbiding. Didn't get to do the outside activities as it rained every day, monsoon season decided to do its thing, while I was there. Had a good dinner at the Buckhorn Bar & Restaurant, been in operation since about 1880. Alot of memorabilia thruout the bar and restaurant and the adjoining Opery House.

Needed the R&R but glad to be back home.

lcs37 - did you get your dog from a breeder that you'd recommend?

I had a blue heeler... She was wonderful, despite coming from a puppy factory and being, as the vet described her, "defective" - smartest and most affectionate dog I ever saw... I miss her more than my ex-wife. Or for that matter, my ex-fiance, ex-girlfriends...

A great big green Chiclet for Steely Gunz - what he said
Sarge, you're gonna love this one - if there could be only one, this would be IT!

You know how I love my little "belt knife" khukuris Berk, got a feeling the fancy wall plaque I'm going to make for this one is just going to be where it hangs when I ain't using it. ;)

Hey, are you the Bob White from around here(Beaumont, TX)???

Not me, I live in Phoenixville, PA. Bob is my first name and White is my wife's last name, not mine. She kept her name and people call me that who meet me through her. There is a little inside joke about me resembling the bobwhite quail there too. My last name is Kenny. :D So we might be related somewhere way back in the family tree. :)

Smokey came from a breeder or should I say two breeders.
Blue Heeler and Border Collie. They lived next door to each other in Moriarty NM. Appears the Father (Blue Heeler) and the Mother (Border Collie) got together as they will when you don't want them to and resulted in a mixed litter.
Smokey has all the markings of a Blue Heeler and instincts and disposition of both breeds. Easy to train, very obediant, loyal. She does not like for me to be out of her sight.
