Your not alone man! I got a pile of steel myself. Its very addictive but well worth every penny. Where can you buy a knife and sell it five or ten years later for the same price you got it for after some serious use? Sometimes much more. Beats the heck out of what a bank will give you:)

Ndogs got a little head start on you George. I'm sure he's probably upwards of 70 or more. Seen pictures of most of them in one pile and it was a pretty sight.
Seen a picture of his wife looking at the pile with a triangle box in hand and that was a little terrifying.
Actually I've seen the same look on my wife with the triangle box, very familiar with it but again it's worth it.

Lol. You guys crack me up the way y'all go back and forth at each other.
I don't think my wife has seen me with one of the triangular boxes yet. I'm not brave enough to walk in with one!
 
Gearge, you obviously have developed a severe case of HIKV, as I did after finding this forum. I guess some people can buy just one, but I think that they're likely as rare as people who can each just one ptoato chip! I have gotten a lot more selective in my purchases over time, but that's mostly because I now have at least one of almost all of the HI blades being offered here, as do quite a few of the regular forumites. So once you have a case of HIKV, it may go into remission for a while, but it always seems to relapse. You just need to learn how to live with it :)
 
The first step in dealing with it is admitting you have the addiction.
I am bawanna and I am extremely addicted to all things HI. Don't help cure or nothing but it's really not difficult to live with.
Wish I had one of them bank accounts everyone talks about, I add on to my man cave to make room for more.

My wife usually text me at work and tells me I got another box from my girlfriend in Reno. I think she knows I can't be saved. She also loves Yangdu and her sisters. That actually helped immensely meeting in person. Last several boxes I didn't even feel like she was mad or would push me down a flight of stairs or anything.
 
I'm addicted! There, now I'm on the road to reeeecoverrr......relooking at the forum to see if I've overlooked a knife! I find myself checking almost every hour for new knives! I bet I can't eat just 1!
I like the preppers philosophy,.."1 is none and 2 is 1!"
I hope to have "1" of each knife!
 
I recommend you pickup the Bolo posted a few days ago. Don't see those very often and if your going to own one of each it's just one less thing ya know.
I don't have a Bolo myself yet but I'm not nearly done yet either.
Looks like a good one, you can have this one, I'll get the next one.....maybe......I need to get me a paper route.

I kinda have a paper route for a living. I'm a mail carrier. Think I need another job myself.
I'll let you have it as I've got 6 or 7 knives coming this week! Ouch!
 
So it's all your fault, all this outrageous shipping cost these days? Hmmmm.

My mom carried mail for over 30 years, used to give her a hard time about being a male man.
Her hands are pretty much toast from handling mail every day all those years.
You could have saved on shipping if you got the bolo added to the 6 or 7 others........
Oh well, bolo might have been sharked for all I know.
I'd like to give it a home that's for sure. Course I say that an awful lot.

Yep. I'm the guy in Arkansas that's emailing Auntie now about a WWII 18"! Trying to push my addiction to a friend!! He's addicted and hasn't bought one yet! He thinks he's addicted! Wait until he holds his first one!! I'm not 2 months into this yet!
Where do I get counseling?

I'm the counselor. I'm confident I can help you. Good on you for addicting your friend. That's what we need to do, spread the word, create more addicts. It's a good worthy cause.
My son ask me sometimes what I'm gonna do with all of these knives. I told him I'm taking them with me.
When they nail the lid shut, find some very big strong boys or a forklift. Taking my guns too.

8 lines. Taking mine also! I've already given my son an addition very early age. When he was 14, I gave him a AK47 clone of course. Then other guns as he got older. Now at 25, he has about 7 of my guns. I just showed him my 18" WWII! With a question he asks me how much did this cost? I told hi $95(blem). He turns to his wife, "I'm buying several of these"!
Just doing my part...spreading the addiction!!

Ive starred into death more than one time and by all laws of statistics i shouldnt be here now. Im convinced im a cat on 8 lives. Maybe just 7 but im too old to push it now. Im surprised my wife didnt think to make me lay in the bed i made...neckid! If she wasnt so mad she prolly wouldda been thinking straight and id be in a heep o' trouble. Next time she goes to visit her mother or daughter for a few days ill update the pic but no way I can risk getting caught again!
