Photos of the 6 Uncle Henry Mint SFO <Special Factory Order> matched box set from 1986 containing the 124 UH I mentioned as being scarce recently.Ebay #230318006432 just saw one sell for $184.31 with spirited bidding.
The 6 knives are: 197UH 'Cat Paw' which is single blade Turkish clip version of 897UH.
705UH 'Chairman' with large clip and small nail file.
885UH 'Senior Ranch' which is Uncle Henry version of 8OT.
124UH 'Tradesman or Maverick' Full sabre clip blade, only 4" closed. I have included the original Schrade flyer description from 1985.
LB8 'Papa Bear'
127UH 'Folding Hunter' Single full sabre clip blade, 5 1/4" closed. I have also included separate photo of the 2 blade version of the 127UH being the 227UH 'Folding Bowie'for comparison. It also is 5 1/4" closed and has identical full sabre clip blade plus large skinning blade.<Its last date of production was 1983.
I reckon they all look pretty neat in the wood box and I havnt seen anything identical before. Submitted for info for anyone interested. Hoo Roo

That is a nice set. It is the only one I've seen. With the exception of the 885UH, all of those knives are fairly uncommon to find for a bargain price.

..thanks, so who's going to show their 123OT 'Pioneer' now, being the identical delrin Old Timer version of the 124UH.

I will! Here's a trio of pocket hunters:

Fantastic Larry, some collection you have, including the sets above. Real nice UH's

Since everyone is showing off their 4" hunters, I'll show off mine. I've got one more, not shown (an SC524), being sent out to Dale this week for some custom work.

Fantastic! I really didnt realize the 124UH was used so extensively by Schrade.I could never understand why the smaller folding bowie/hunter would not have been more popular than the large. So why did it have such narrow production period?

Dang you guys are KILLIN me:( showin off all them purty 4" hunters CAUSE I don't have one to add to the party:o Oh well some day I'll get my grubby hands on one:D!

Rusty that red 123 is awesome never seen anything like that. very cool. All of them are for that matter.- Joel

The only flaw that I've noticed is the lack of a lock.
Still my favorite of favorites.

Fantastic collections folks! Larry, that's a great set, first one I've seen.

Larry in your post(#9) above, do you know what years the 2 scrimshaws are from. are pics: bear vs. bear and badger or wolverine ?
thanks, i just won both those knives but can't find them in the sticky.

Nice pickup Roland. According to Levine, on pg 166 in the 4th Edition, it shows 1980 and 1981, for the Badger and Grizzlies, respectively. Those two are the only SC524 patterns made in the Schrade of the Great American Outdoors series. Not that someone could not prove me wrong, since we are talking Schrade knives.

As a side note, Wednesday afternoon I saw a live badger, along the Kansas Turnpike in broad daylight. I've seen them roadkilled before, and countless dens, but never a live one. A fine looking critter he was.

Thanks Hal, i forgot that Levine's has that info.
the badger knife i just won on ebay about 12 hrs. ago. NIB plus papers for $40usually the 4" FH goes for more even if slightly used. great pattern, a little more user friendly than it's full size 5 1/4" big brothers.

Here is another one that could go into this thread. My scanning could use some improvement.

Oddly enough, the Statue Knives have bone handles, and they can be picked up for a reasonable price.
