Oddly enough, the Statue Knives have bone handles, and they can be picked up for a reasonable price.

Right, i have 2(at least), both unused, both with very wimpy snap, which is odd because the case they came with displays the knife fully open (and upright). i don't like wimpy springs which is one small part of why i like Schrade, usually the springs hold up very well.
maybe on knives intended for display there was less care taken with tempering and more care with handles and etching ?
need to hear from a production floor person to find out. "pfp, where are u ?"

Mine came in the display box too. Has good snap. Luck of the draw I guess. Wimpy snap is disappointing.
 
Another interesting post from the Schrade archives....Blade Forums have seen fit to remove photos that may never be replicated...
