Can someone reconcile the seemingly contradicting statements regarding double cuts rust resistance or lack thereof? I seem to remember Jerry saying that it seals the steel which I would take to mean that it helps to close it off to moisture. Maybe the dents from the media allow smaller surface rust without penetration compared to naked infi?
Typically, double cut finish is hit with ceramic beads. The ceramic beads leave a bit of ceramic on the blade which give a sealing affect for a short time. But that wears off quickly if you use the blade. The fact is that beat blast or double cut creates more surface for corrosion to start. A satin finish will last longer. Having said all that, again INFI is very corrosion resistant so you don't have to worry about it as long as you maintain your equipment.
