Uncomfortable "ring" on the handle

Now *that* is a wise man's response! Lazy, but wise. I like that. Too bad my medications don't allow me to do it, Bill.

Writing books is a huge undertaking and one that I am not especially motivated to do. If the winds of karma blow in that direction, I'll do it. If they don't, I won't. But I do hope to leave enough information available for somebody with the guts and tenacity to do the book if they are so motivated.

I still have 9,983 pix left to post and about as many stories to tell. It ain't over 'till it's over.

Bill has thrown down the gauntlet, or at least dropped it on his foot. Come on forumites, who'll put this book together? I'll provide design and art direction (I'd even attempt to look thru the infamous 10,000 picture collection). Any writers, publishers, printers etc. reading this crazy enough to tackle "The Book"?

Bill, how 'bout "The easy road to riches selling curvy knives made from car springs", or "How I made millions with a little bit of steel, leather and horn"?

John, those titles would certainly help sell more books! But, I fear they are a bit misleading.

Bill, here is the title, but you better copyright it;

"KHUKURI

A Portrait of Form and Function"

By Bill Martino

Make the title "Spirit of the Khukuri", or maybe "The Khukuri and it's People", Uncle Bill.

Cobalt's an engineer. He's into technical stuff. I'm the social work type. I'm into people. Others are into Gurkhas, military history, geography, culture, tactical useage, religious and spiritual millieux, field applications, the making of them, collecting, khukuri tales, and on and on. The "Khukuri Bible" might not be the name, but it is the general idea: a collection of books or chapters with one common focus.((Immediate edit - Dang! As soon as I submitted this another title came to mind: "The Khukuri Encyclopedia".))

We've got lots of terrific title writers, but I repeat my earlier post: publishers, printers, and writers come forth.

Writing a book is more work than meets the eye. That's why I'm not overjoyed at tackling this project. And I if anybody tries it, good luck!

Uncle Bill

There's just no way you're going to do this is there? How 'bout if we skip the book and go right to screenplay? "Khukuris at dawn" starring ______________________? Who gets to play Bill Martino?
